Happy Farm Villas: A Natural Hot Spring Resort in Bay, Laguna
When it comes to hot spring resorts, Laguna is indisputably the best area to visit — whether it’s for a casual get-together or a special celebration of sorts. And while most people immediately head to Pansol, there are similar places in the province offering the same hot spring experience, but without the crowds.
Happy Farm Villas is a natural hot spring resort found in Bay, Laguna. I know — Hali and I were surprised to find a resort here, too! Like other resorts in Laguna, sources its water from Mount Makiling.
Here’s our review of Happy Farm Villas.

Our stay at Happy Farm Villas
My boyfriend Hali and I stayed here overnight along with other travel bloggers.
Happy Farm Villas is a luxurious hot spring resort, tucked in subdivision in Bay, Laguna. It’s surrounded by farmlands, making it a perfect place for relaxation.
Something that we learned is that it was newly acquired and renovated, specifically to cater to the growing number of families looking for private accommodations since the pandemic. The land next to it will soon be the home of a second private villa.
This private hot spring resort features mostly a minimalist white interior, splashed with nature-centric designs and wooden furniture like rattan and bamboo.
Natural Pool
The main feature of the resort is its natural hot spring pool, which has an adult section (up to 5 feet) and a kiddie section (3 feet). For every booked guests, the water is drained and refilled anew, so if there is a booking before you, it might take a while for the pool to be filled.
No worries, you can lay down in the pool beds or take a photo at the bath tub outside. My favorite nook in the resort, but no — it is not functional.
The water in the pool was really warm, by the way. Hali and I swam the next day, and it was still warmer than expected. We enjoyed swimming and splashing ourselves, or otherwise looking at the mountains outside the resort just visible from the poolside.
Because the natural hot spring water contains sulfur, it may change color when it rains. It is a natural reaction and it’s still good for swimming.
Rooms
This private resort has four bedrooms, each with 2 double beds (and an extra single bed, as needed), airconditioning, smart TV, and en suite bathroom. Towels are provided, but you need to bring your own toiletries.
The rooms, including the bathrooms, are really spacious. You can bring luggages in here and it won’t be cramped.
Our room was comfortable to sleep in. I also liked the black-out curtain — I slept in later than intended, not that I’m complaining! I notice, though, that there was no heater in the shower. If you’d just come from the hot spring pool, then the lukewarm water would feel just right.
Other amenities
When it comes to Filipino get-togethers, eating is a huge part of the occasion. The resort has an outdoor dining area, an outdoor kitchen equipped with cookware, a water dispenser with complimentary water, and an outdoor grill.
Basically, most of what you need to cook and enjoy your meals. (Note: plates and utensils are not included, so you need to bring those.)
For other leisure and entertainment, there is also a sauna that’s free to use and a communal area with billiards, table tennis, foosball, and darts.
We skipped these, but we used of the videoke room to belt out some beats. The room is soundproof, but as per local ordinance videokes are only allowed up to 11PM.
If you have kids with you, you can use the mini-playground beside the pool as well.
Final Verdict
Overall, we were happy with our stay at Happy Farm Villas.
Our room was comfortable, and swimming at a hot spring pool for us is always a nice experience. There is just something draining about living at the metro, don’t you think? That’s why it’s important to recharge yourself every now and then.
We also liked that there is fast, reliable wifi so we can continue checking or working online as needed.
The amenities at the resort were clean and well-kept. I think aesthetic-wise, it could do more with additional decorations or vibrant colors. Again, that the refilling of water in the pool takes time is also something to consider, but I believe the owners are transparent about this to their guests. The pool likely won’t be filled yet when you arrive, so feel free to enjoy other resort amenities when you do.
When it comes to the location, the resort is located in a private subdivision surrounded by farmlands, making it good for relaxation. There are no nearby commercial establishments, although there is an Alfamart a short drive away. Make sure to bring everything you need before you check-in to avoid any hassles!
For those looking for a peaceful retreat for a casual outing or celebration, this hidden gem in Bay, Laguna, is worth checking out.
