Level8 Textured Luggage Set Review

Share this:

As someone who loves traveling around the country and abroad, one of the things I can’t compromise on is a high-quality luggage set. It can be such a huge hassle to have a broken luggage in the middle of the trip, or investing in a new luggage and then finding out that it is hard to wheel around or the handles don’t close easily.

Currently, the market is brimming with options when it comes to luggage so it can be difficult to sift through the products and identify a set that truly stands out.

One brand that’s a favorite among travel bloggers like me is Level8. Level8 is a New York-based company offering premium suitcases.

If you haven’t already, you can read about my previous review of the Level8 Glitter Carry-On. This article, I’ll post about my Level8 Textured Luggage Set, which includes a 20” carry-on and a 24” check-in luggage in navy color.

Here are the features of the Level8 Textured Luggage Set:

  • German-made Makrolon (polycarbonate hard shell)
  • Aluminum-alloy trolley
  • TSA-approved locks
  • Adjustable handles
  • 360° spinner wheels
  • Interior organization: Mesh pocket divider, 2 zipper pockets, and straps
  • Available colors: Black, Navy
  • Lifetime warranty

What makes the Textured Luggage Set different from their other luggage products is their diamond texture and anti-scratch technology. Depending on the material used, a luggage can be prone to scratching especially as it is carried around all the time and mishandled by airport luggage personnel. So their anti-scratch feature makes sure that your luggage always looks new!

Pros

First of all, I really love the look of the Level9 Textured Luggage Set with its sophisticated and modern design. You can tell at first glance that it isn’t cheap!

The textured exterior isn’t only aesthetically pleasing but also functional — as mentioned above, the diamond patterns minimizes scruffs and scratches that come with hauling a luggage around.

Both luggage suitcases glide effortlessly in the airport, which is very convenient. Four compartment areas make organizing clothes and items easy. The polycarbonate hard shell material also makes the luggage lightweight.

As I tend to travel light, I particularly like the 20” carry-on because it has ample space for clothes for a long weekend trip, with enough allowance to stuff souvenirs in. Dimensions are also ideal for local and international flights — although you might need to check in the carry-on for smaller jets.

Cons

Like the Level8 Glitter Carry-On, there is no laptop compartment or outer pocket for accessing items. So it is best for those who carry an additional backpack for these things.

Overall

I love the ease, aesthetics, and durability of the Level8 Textured Luggage Set. I didn’t experience any issues when using it – so leave me impressed. With all the luggage brands out there, this will be my go-to luggage brands moving forwards.

Given the higher-than-average price point, the decision to purchase a Level8 Textured Luggage Set is an investment. However, the old adage “you get what you pay for” rings true in the case of this particular set.

If you’re looking for a good-quality luggage set, whether for regular international trips or the occasional vacation nearby, the Level8 Textured Luggage set is poised to be a great travel companion.

Buy a Level8 Luggage

You can purchase the Level8 Textured Luggage Set – official website or via Amazon.

If you’re a Philippine resident, you can purchase Level8 through the link above or via Amazon. Unfortunately they do not have a physical store or online shop in Lazada or Shoppee.

They have a warehouse in China where the items will be shipped from. I received mine after a week. Take note of corresponding taxes you may need to pay on top of the product cost.

Disclaimer: The luggage was given for free. As always, thoughts and opinions are my own.
