Farm Hills Garden: Cozy Staycation and Restaurant in Tagaytay

Share this:

Tagaytay is one of my go-to spots for a staycation. The combination of chill weather, charming suites and rooms where I can cozy up, and great restaurants make it a worthwhile drive from my abode in Manila. In a bloggers trip in 2019, I discovered a new place for staycation in Tagaytay: Farm Hills Garden.

Farm Hills Garden

Farm Hills Garden is located just several minutes away from the city proper in Tagaytay. It was originally built as a wedding/events venue, but recently it has expanded its market to casual vacation goers from Manila.

It offers different standard & family rooms, an in-house restaurant, and a swimming pool.

Rooms

Farm Hills Garden offers various themed rooms. There’s Victorian, Industrial, Nautical, Cabin, etc.

My favorite is this nautical-themed family suite, which has a mezzanine floor with an additional single bed. There are anchor signages on the walls. Overall, it’s spacious and IG-worthy.

Coming in second is this cabin-themed standard room. When I stepped foot inside, it definitely felt like I was inside a forest cabin — it even smelt like wood! There are unique items on display, including a chandelier with moose horns.

Other rooms are available in Farm Hills Garden. If you’re on a honeymoon or romantic getaway, you might want to get a standard room with its own jacuzzi.

By the way, the rooms come with complimentary breakfast as well as complimentary bottled water and packets for coffee.

There really isn’t much to do in the Farm Hills Garden except to relax, eat, and swim in the pool. Of course, it’s also close to the best stops in Tagaytay so there are other activities available for you if you wish to drive/commute outside.

Wedding events venue

There are 2 function halls in Farm Hills Garden.

The first one is located adjacent to the restaurant and sits up to 70 people. The second is bigger and can accommodate up to 150-200 people. It’s beside the outdoor garden where weddings are held. (Unfortunately, it was raining when we visited so I didn’t get to take pictures of the outdoor area.)

Farm Hills Garden is a great choice for a wedding events place in Tagaytay because it provides an exclusive, nature ambiance and it has all the facilities needed for a wedding: wedding area, reception area, restaurant for catering needs, rooms and villas for the families and guests.

Restaurant

Whether you’re an in-house guest or not, you can visit the Farm Hills Garden Cafe and Restaurant. This was recently open this year 2019. It offers different kinds of Filipino delicacies.

Ambiance-wise, the restaurant complements the rest of the venue. It’s garden themed, with high ceiling and plant displays. One of my first impressions is that it’s a wonderful place to hang out in the afternoon for a cup of coffee.

For appetizers, try out the Beef Nachos (P190). These are delicious and easy to eat. I love that they use molo wrappers as cups for the fillings, so it isn’t messy to eat and you don’t have to fight for others over the last spoonful of meat and tomatoes.

Some of the Filipino favorites include: Crispy Pata (P640), Fried Chicken (P520), Roasted Beef (P370), and of course Tagaytay’s staple — Bulalo (P550).

I’m not a fan of crispy pata but I liked their version of it — it has crunchy skin, with tender meat. The roasted beef was great as well.

If you’re into carbs, Farm Hills Garden Cafe and Restaurant also have pastas and pizzas. I find it interesting that they use a type of soft herbed pizza crust. Meanwhile, The Bolognese Pasta (P200) is a must-try — it’s tasty and chunky with all the fillings.

Overall, I can say that the restaurant serves excellent food. If you’re looking for a new restaurant in Tagaytay, this is a must-visit.

The restaurant is open from 11AM to 8PM.
