Our stay at Hidden View Mansion
I stayed here overnight with my boyfriend and other content creators.
Hidden View Mansion is a modern private resort with an open-space layout which includes a living room, a dining area, and a full kitchen. It has four bedrooms (plus an additional driver’s room), three of which have en suite private bathroom with hot & cold shower.
Its main highlight is a gorgeous infinity pool that overlooks the surrounding trees — including pine trees, coconut trees, and other fruiting trees like calamansi. Though it has no separate kiddie section, the pool goes from 3 feet to 5 feet so kids can still swim on one end of the pool.
Hali and I stayed in the master’s bedroom, which has direct access to the pool. It was spacious and comfortable, and there’s a nook ideal for placing a laptop for when you need to work at night. It also has floor-to-ceiling glass walls that let in nice light in the morning.
If there is anything I can consistently praise about modern private resorts, it’s that they really know how to design an aesthetically pleasing space that serves as home away from home.
The whole house itself was very comfortable. The couch was soft and the use of wooden furniture gives it a homey feel. There are interesting displays here and there – a colorful painting, unique cat displays, and so on. It gives the house a character.
There is no airconditioning in the living/dining area, but there are blinds to cover the glass walls to avoid the space getting hot. It’s a great place to eat together, chat, and sing. The TV also doubles as videoke through a smart TV app, though we missed having a songbook to browse.
Since the resort is located in Alfonso, Cavite, it can be a little chilly especially at night. The pool is also cool, and since we visited during the ber-months we decided to postpone the swim until the next morning. It was still cold but more tolerable.
Oh and don’t forget to take sunset pictures at the poolside!
Aside from these, there is also a fishing pond where you can experience fishing for tilapia and hito. You only need to pay for the catch, which is P250 per kilo. We tried fishing but didn’t catch anything haha.
Overall, we had a fantastic time at Hidden View Mansion in Tagaytay. Here’s a short summary of my review:
- Location: Good location, near Fora Mall and Olivares but in a more secluded street.
- Amenities: Clean, modern, and aesthetically pleasing amenities. The beds were comfortable and we had no issues during our stay. There is also fast WIFI so we were able to stay connected online.
- Service: Staff was very helpful and approachable. Ms. Divine, the manager, was just a text away.
- Value for money: Overall, it offers great value for money especially for family reunions and other group gatherings.
