Staycation at Park Inn by Radisson North Edsa
Ever since the pandemic, staycations have been the norm. Though I have an unwavering love of the beach, we also like discovering good staycations within the metro. Recently, we stayed overnight at Park Inn by Radisson North Edsa.
Opened in 2019, Park Inn by Radisson North Edsa is a highly reviewed hotel, perfect for those leisure guests looking for a hotel staycation as well as business travelers. Notably, it is attached to SM City North Edsa, one of the biggest commercial shopping centers in the metro, which means that you can also enjoy access to hundreds of establishments including restaurants and cafes.

Our stay at Park Inn North Edsa
We stayed here on a Sun-Mon this December. I anticipated that it would be fully booked. However, our check-in was still a breeze. I also liked the spacious lobby with colorful seats and a working station.
Our room
We stayed in a Deluxe Room in one of the top floors of Park Inn. The room features a king-sized bed, a large TV, a working desk, a couch, a large wardrobe, a safety deposit box, and coffee and tea making facilities.
The bathroom has hot & cold shower and refillable bathroom toiletries (body wash, shampoo, and conditioner). I’m glad that for the refillables because it’s a more eco-friendly option than providing small bottles every time a guest(s) checks in.
The room was pleasant and spacious. We particularly liked the bed; it was soft that Hali said he felt like sinking. There are only two pillows — I think additional small pillows would be nice. Nevertheless, as someone who has a hard time getting to sleep, I had an easy, comfortable sleep that night.
Our room also has a view of the street and parking below. Later that night we were lucky to see a nearby fireworks show, which was amazing.
Swimming Pool
Park Inn North Edsa has a swimming floor with a kiddie section at the 7th floor, just outside the main lobby and restaurant.
The swimming pool really comes alive at night, as the hotel lights and the cityscape outside provide a nice ambiance. The best thing about the swimming pool at Park Inn is that it’s lukewarm! It doesn’t have thermal heating but due to its location the pool gets heated enough during the day.
As someone who’s in my 30s I appreciate the pool temperature. We swam at night and it was nice. Some of my favorite photos are from here.
Food
The hotel has its own restaurant (Casa Urban Table) just beside the main lobby.
For dinner, we tried their Mongolian BBQ bowl buffet. Basically, there’s a spread filled with meats, veggies, rice noodles, and various sauces and you choose which one to include in your bowl. Then you give your bowl to the staff for cooking.
I was a little worried about mixing ingredients because I don’t know which pairs well with what. The staff suggested I use the Mongolian sauce, a crowd-favorite, which I then paired with Schezuan sauce (coz spicy).
My Mongolian bowl actually came out pretty good; Hali’s was way better. The beef was particularly delicious. Oh, and there was also fruit salad for dessert.
Overall, it was a refreshing style of buffet and we had a great dinner. Hali had three bowls, so go figure. And the cooking time is fast, which surprised even myself.
In the morning, we tried the breakfast buffet. We woke up early since it was a busy month and we wanted to avoid queuing for food.
Park Inn actually has decent breakfast spread. There are cereals, different breads with butter and jams, steamed rice and garlic rice, and typical breakfast items like scrambled egg, corned beef, longganisa, and tuyo. There is even a small grazing platter of sliced meats and cheeses.
For the drinks, there’s water, juices, hot coffee, and hot chocolate.
We liked the breakfast spread. And I also liked that the restaurant has large windows, so we enjoyed eating with the early morning sunlight.
Aside from the restaurant, Park Inn North Edsa also has its own café (Dash Cafe) at the ground floor. The café is cozy, and it’s a decent place for a quick caffeine fix or chatting with friends. They serve Starbucks drinks, as well as pasta and bread.
