Mondy & Goldy’s Beach Resort: Stylish Stay in General Nakar (Quezon)
When you’re in General Nakar, you’ll have several options for beachside accommodations. The newly opened Mondy & Goldy’s Beach Resort is the most high-end resort in this municipality, so if you’re looking for the most comfort, this is your best choice.
I stayed here with other content creators for three nights for the Gapo at Palusong Festival 2023. Here’s my review of Mondy & Goldy’s Beach Resort in General Nakar, Quezon.

Our stay at Mondy & Goldy’s Beach Resort
Mondy & Goldy’s Beach Resort offers modern rooms ideal for solo tourists, couples, and families. We’d been told by the tourism staff that famous personalities visiting General Nakar often choose to stay here.
Our room
We stayed in two family rooms, each with 2 bunk beds and 1 sofa bed, en suite bathroom with hot shower, and complimentary toiletries. I swear, it looks better in person than in photos. It’s also the only resort we stayed at in General Nakar which has hot shower, and that alone makes this my top choice.
We had a pleasant stay in the room. The resort also offers other room options, each with unique designs and colors. You can inquire with them to choose the room that you want.
Resort Facilities
The resort is spacious and every corner is aesthetically pleasing. You can lounge on the poolside and take photos for the gram or hang out at the comfortable couches inside the café/restaurant and feel like you’re still in the city.
One of the highlights of this resort is its pool, which also has a jacuzzi and a kiddie section with slides. There is a replica of the iconic Merlion in Singapore on one side, which I find nice.
I immediately changed to swimwear along with my companions when we heard that there was a jacuzzi. It was such a relaxing experience to just sit there with the bubbles after a day of chasing waterfalls in town! I also enjoyed swimming here – unlike other resorts in General Nakar with 6-9 feet pools, the pool here is a standard 4 feet deep so it’s perfect for someone short like me. Haha.
The water at the pool was slightly warm, so it’s perfect for day or night swimming. The staff said they use heaters for the pool temperature.
Mondy & Goldy’s Beach Resort shares the same beachfront as MRJ Beach Resort, which is a more budget-friendly option. On good days, the water here is mostly shallow and is thus perfect for a casual dip, even for kids. There are also cottages where you can just enjoy the view and the pleasant salty air.
We had a lot of time so even with the gray/rainy weather, we found an opportunity to swim. After the years-long pandemic, it felt so nice to be back in the water!
The resort is about 30 minutes walk to Sulok Beach, which is at the end of the coastline. Sulok Beach is one of the top attractions in General Nakar. I went there with a fellow content creator and I would recommend bringing a hat or another shade as it can be really hot in the mornings.
For dining, Mondy & Goldy’s Beach Resort has an in-house restaurant and they have their own chef prepare the food. For the duration of our stay, we were treated delicious delicacies in General Nakar — especially desserts made with coconut milk, similar to the popular ginataan or bilo-bilo. Breakfast consisted of staples like eggs, sausages, and dried fish – and they were presented well too. As you can tell, we are very happy with the food at Mondy & Goldy’s Beach Resort.
Aside from these, this beach resort also has its own store so you can conveniently buy snacks and drinks without heading out and even a shop selling different swimwear.
There are also leisure facilities like badminton, table tennis, volleyball, and more.
Overall
We had a fantastic time at Mondy & Goldy’s Beach Resort. The four days we spent there flew by so fast! The resort amenities were good, the staff was welcoming and approachable, and the food was delish. It truly deserves its reputation as one of the best resorts in General Nakar, Quezon.

How to get here:
From Manila, ride a bus or van from Raymond Bus Terminal in Legardo to Infanta, Quezon. Travel time is about 5 hours. From the terminal in Infanta, ride a tricycle to the resort, about 25 minutes away.
