Staying in Baguio. I was invited to Azalea Hotels and Residences Baguio for a 2-night stay with tour. We stayed in a Premier Room with view, which comes with two beds (a double-sized bed and a queen-sized bed) and a sofa bed, a kitchen with cookware and dinnerware, a bathroom with hot & cold shower, and a front balcony view.

It was very comfortable, and I love the balcony where you can see the light blooming in the sunrise and the fog covering the mountains in the late afternoon. Since it was summer and there is no airconditioning (as in most hotels in Baguio), it can get hot, so having a balcony to let the air in is a big plus.

I also liked the staff service – always warm, prompt, and helpful. We were greeted with a basket of fruits, pastries, and strawberry wine and then left with a plate of sweets and tarts afterwards. I can see how this is such a good choice for couples!

Take a tour in/near Baguio City

Azalea Hotels and Residences Baguio can help you arrange tours in Baguio, including joiner tours or an exclusive tour for your group. As most people who explore Baguio go the DIY route, this is a good alternative especially for travelers who prefer ease and convenience.

As part of our tour, we visited new (and classic) tourist spots in Baguio, which you can also explore. These are:

Mt. Camisong Forest and Events Park

Mt. Camisong - one of the newest attractions near Baguio

Tucked away in Itogon, Benguet, about 20 minutes away from Baguio City, Mt. Camisong Forest and Events Park is a fresh eco-tourism spot that opened this February 2025. Take amazing photos at the Alapaap glass view deck, explore forest trails like the Alpas, or just enjoy the view of mountains and forests in Benguet. Aside from these, foodies can also dig into local dishes and brews at the park’s café.

Although some parts of Mt. Camisong is still under construction, we enjoyed visiting this park. It is well designed, the views are amazing, and the bathrooms have high-tech Japanese toilet too!

Ambuklao Dam

Located in Bokod, Benguet, a scenic 30-minute drive from Baguio is Ambuklao Dam, once considered the largest dam in East Asia. It powers the neighborhoods in Baguio City. Take a short visit to see the historical dam and enjoy the sight of the trainquil waters and small boats manned by local fishers.

Via Von Joy Cafe and Resto

Love the mountain views in Benguet!

After exploring Mt. Camisong and Ambuklao Dam, have a savory lunch at Via Von Joy Café and Resto. This 2-story casual restaurant is popular for its surrounding mountain views, as well as its laid-back vibes and local dishes. They also sell various pasalubong, including smoked meats.

For people who love IG-worthy snaps like me, it’s really a must-visit in your Baguio-Benguet itinerary.

Dragon Treasure Castle

Dragon Treasure Castle is one of the “trending” new attractions in Baguio. It is known for its castle-like architecture. This spot is still under construction, and according to staff, it will take about 2 years for its completion including the making of the actual dragon statues.

Currently, details are scarce, but it’s still popular as it is inexpensive and close to other main attractions in Baguio.

Mirador Heritage and Eco-Spirituality Park

Located on Mirador Hill in Baguio, Mirador Heritage and Eco-Spirituality Park is a great place to visit for nature lovers. It features short trails, zen gardens, and the iconic Bamboo Eco-Park and torii gates, all set against sweeping Cordillera views.

Where to eat

Azalea Hotel has a dining restaurant and lounge. If you want to explore other dining options, there are nearby restaurants and cafes you can visit as well.

Kuya J

Ala carte dishes at Kuya J.

Yes, Azalea Hotels and Residences Baguio’s in-house dining is Kuya J. So you’re guaranteed to have amazing breakfast buffets daily! I honestly love the food here, and their hot chocolate is on point too. I love hot chocolate and quite pihikan when it comes to it, so the fact that I love their hot chocolate says something.

Of course, you can also order ala carte and enjoy local favorites like lumpiang shanghai, fried chicken, chop suey, and more. Plus their famous halo-halo.

Oh Mai Khan

Located on Upper Session Road, Oh Mai Khan is a Baguio classic famous for their eat-all-you-can Mongolian bowls. Here you can pile your own bowl with rice or noodles, fresh veggies, meats, and sauces after which the staff will cook it for you.

Tip: If it’s your first time to have a Mongolian bowl, just ask the staff to use their standard sauce because it can really make or break the dish. I loved the bowl prepared for me. It was so good!

Cornelia Street

For fans of Taylor Swift and all things cute, Cornelia Street is a charming dining spot perfect for couples, groups catching up over good food, and families enjoying generous portions. They have an extensive menu, including pizza, pasta, sandwiches, and rice meals.
