Croatia is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful countries in Europe, famous for its coastal towns, medieval city walls, and jaw-dropping coastline. While its most popular among honeymooners and backpackers, it’s also a great place for those who love the nightlife. Here are the best party beaches in Croatia where you spend amazing times.
Hvar offers the ultimate nightlife experience in Croatia. This serene island transforms into a party destination at night, with various bars and clubs where you can dance, chill with live music, and enjoy unlimited drinks. While there are many places to choose from depending on your budget, one that you shouldn’t miss is Carpe Diem Beach which is located in a small island just across the town. With delicious food and drinks and nightly parties, it’s one of – if not the best nightclub in the area. Other notable clubs include the renowned Hula-Hula Bar and Nautica Bar.
If you don’t know where to start, you can also book a Hvar Pub Crawl which starts off at Pakleni Islands and goes through the best nightlight options in Hvar.
Take note that partying in Hvar isn’t cheap, so ready your budget accordingly.
Hvar is a great base if you only have a few days to stay in Croatia and want to explore the sights in the morning and party at night. You can easily get here by taking a ferry from Dubrovnik to Hvar or Split to Hvar.
2. Bacvice Beach in Split
Split is one of the most popular destinations in Croatia. This town is built on the country’s coastline facing the Adriatic Sea and features terracotta-roof houses and cobbled streets. It’s a great place for tourists and even better for those who love partying.
This town offers various nightlife options, including inland bars and clubs. Beach-lovers, meanwhile, can head over to Bacvice Beach, a shallow sandy beach overlooking the aquamarine ocean. Bacvice Beach occasionally host music festivals and its shores are lined with various clubs, including the luxurious Tropic Club and the more relaxed Club Bacvice.
3. Zrce Beach in Pag Island
Pag Island is the country’s top destination when it comes to summer beach parties, earning its moniker the “Croatian Ibiza.” This is the perfect place to be for those who love great parties and want to experience the best time of their lives.
Depending on the time of the year you’re visiting, you can join in music festivals, such as the world-famous Hideout Festival, a days-long music celebration featuring the best electronic music artists. Others include the Fresh Island, Electrobeach, Croatia Rocks, and Sonus festivals.
Those who like to get rowdy and wild can go to its famous 24-hour parties or visit its open-air clubs overlooking the ocean. Notable ones include Aquarius Club, one of the oldest clubs in the world and included in DJ Mag’s Top 100 Clubs, as well as Papaya Club, Club Kalypso, Noa Beach Club, and Cocomo Club.
As party central, Pag is one of the cheapest places to enjoy great drinks. However, depending on your preferences, you might also find it too touristy.
The best time to go partying in Zrce Beach is spring break, from June to July. These months offer great weather for the beach and the time when clubs and bars operate for 24 hours.
4. Pudarica Beach in Rab Island
Rab is a relatively newcomer in the party scene, but watch out – it’s making its way as one of the top party beaches in Croatia.
This small island is located next to Pag. It’s home to a charming old town, bell towers, and lush forests and rocky cliffs. Over the years, Rab has seen an influx of tourists who are looking for less-crowded destinations than Pag.
Pudarica Beach is where the party’s at. It’s lined with various beach bars, pubs, and night clubs that offer live performances, dancing, and fun until sunrise. Party animals should head to Santos Beach Club for its live music and go-go dancers or to Beach Bar Del Mar for similarly fun but milder partying.
5. Tisno in Murter Island
Tisno is one of the four coastal towns comprising Murter Island, close to Zadar. This island may be small in size, but it makes up for its vibrant party scene. It hosts some of the best music festivals in the country, including the Soundwave Festival which is held in The Garden, a natural ampitheater with its own beach. Other festivals you can join in for endless partying include Electric Elephant, Movement Croatia, and SunceBeat.
It’s also dotted with great clubs. In particular is the Barbarellas Discotheque, a seafront after-hours club named in The Guardian’s Best Clubs in Europe. The club offers legendary after-parties and DJing until sunrise, making it one of the best places to be at in Croatia.
6. Zlatni Rat in Brac Island
Brac is a somewhat off-beaten destination in Croatia. Brac is home to Vidova Gora, the highest peak of all Adriatic islands, and Zlatni Rat, a sliver of pebble white beach and one of the recognizable symbols of Croatia tourism.
This island is usually not on people’s choices when it comes to the best party beaches in Croatia. However, it has its own nightlife. After spending a day exploring the idyllic island, head over to Varadero in Bol harbor, an open-air cocktail bar where you sip signature drinks in cozy wicker chairs and umbrellas or dance the night away in DJ’s songs.
Croatia has a little bit of everything – gorgeous towns, forests, and mountains – and best of all, party and night life for everyone who likes having a good time.
