Discover Imus, Cavite

Share this:

To be honest, even though I’d been living in the south for a year now, I’m still not familiar with Cavite. All I know is that it’s “malayo” and “mahirap ang commute”, which is something I based on the occasional times I watched local news. Recently, I joined a bloggers’ tour in Imus, Cavite, organized by COHO by Vista Land.

There are a few interesting takeaways from this tour:

  • Cavite is poised to be one of the best alternative residential locations near Manila. There is a lot of planned developments in this province, including creation of business districts and residential and commercial areas.
  • Imus offers interesting local attractions for its residents.
  • It’s best to buy a condo property during pre-selling period because it’s the time when prices are really low.

Anywhere, here are some of the interesting local attractions/places in Imus, Cavite.

Big Ben’s Kitchen

Big Ben’s Kitchen is a charming local restaurant in Imus. It is a family-owned business, offering heirloom Caviteno dishes.

When I first set foot in Big Ben’s Kitchen, I was immediately impressed. It was quaint and cozy. The menu consists of authentic local dishes, including the imus longganisa. This longganisa uses quality pork and doesn’t contain any preservatives.

You can also buy local products such as vinegar and fruit spreads.

Try out their breakfast meals for P199 including drinks. I also recommend their salted-egg chicken meal. For drinks, they offer glasses/pitcher of refreshing cucumber-calamansi with honey.
